Before:
You have read and agreed to my policies
I will arrive 5-10 minutes before your appointment to set up the massage table, stool and music.
Please have a quiet open space such as a living room ready to accommodate the 6 foot table and stool comfortably.
We will go over your health history form, perform an assessment and discuss your treatment plan. This can take 10-15 minutes upon a first visit and is included in the time.
After the assessment I will leave the room to give you time to change and get on the table while I wash my hands.
During:
During your massage, I will check in with you periodically to ensure that you are comfortable.
After:
After your treatment, I will leave the room to wash my hands while you get dressed.
I will then provide you with self-care tips or exercises, take payment, pack up and head out.
All treatments are customized to your body needs, lifestyle, mood and preferred pressure choice of light, moderate or firm. Here are the available treatments:
Relaxation Massage
This treatment is soothing, rhythmic and a commonly known spa style of massage. It helps relieve muscle and nerve tension, using skin-to-skin contact and oil.
Perfect for: unwinding, relaxing, and general restoration
Pre/Postnatal
I can support your wellness at all stages of pregnancy. Experience relief in common tension zones with various massage options like abdominal, breast or manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) to help reduce swelling in your feet. Pillows and bolsters will provide you with support and extra comfort while you destress and relax. This massage will help improve mama’s sleep, hormonal balance, breastfeeding and decrease stress, pain and swelling.
Perfect for: the mama to be or busy mama
Myofascial Cupping Massage
This treatment combines active movement, fascial techniques and cupping therapy to lift, separate and stretch fascia and muscles throughout the body. Cups are vacuumed on to the restricted area using a pump. This will cause the skin to rise and redden as the blood vessels respond to the change in pressure. As the cups are moved around the body, fresh oxygenated and nutrient rich blood flows to the targeted areas. These techniques can improve the efficiency of motion and reduce discomfort when moving.
Perfect for: athletes, pre or post workout, injury rehab, lack of mobility or flexibility.
Therapeutic Massage
This treatment is slow and deep, as it stimulates the healing process by activating weak muscles and decreases hyperirritable spots. Pressure will be modified as you may experience more tenderness as the tissues are worked through. It encompasses a variety of therapeutic techniques including trigger point therapy (TRP), proprioceptive neuromuscular facilitation (PNF) (which is muscle contraction paired with stretching), along with joint mobilization. This massage improves your blood circulation, range of motion and gets you back to optimal function and may require multiple sessions.
Perfect for: those who have discomfort, pain, acute or chronic conditions or injuries, pre or post workout performance
Infant/Children’s Massage
